I am a Chicago-based freelance editor. I graduated in 2008 with an MFA from the University of Central Florida’s School of Film & Digital Media, as one of the first six students accepted into the Entrepreneurial Digital Cinema program. While at UCF, I also worked as an instructor – teaching my own classes of up to 80 film students, teaching Final Cut Pro labs to first year film BFA students, and assisting in Editing classes, working one-on-one with students to critique their editing assignments.

As an editor in Florida, I edited franchise videos, corporate videos, an instructional ethics video, and spots for clients such as Quiznos Sub Shop, Barnie’s Coffee & Tea, Carrs Barber, WizeTrade, American Cash Flow, and Stetson University College of Law. Since moving to Chicago in the fall of 2008, I have been working as a freelance editor and assistant editor, working on DVDs for clients such as The Alpha Course and editing promotional videos (including the Lingotto hotel in Turin, Italy), early childhood education webisodes, and documentaries, including three half-hour shows for the Big Ten Network. Hope for a Thorn, a feature film I finished postproduction on last year, is finishing its festival run and preparing for its DVD release.

I can work with both Final Cut Studio and Avid Media Composer on a Mac or a PC. My specialties are long-format documentary and narrative, short narrative and promotional, educational, and multi-camera performance.
